Really Lis you want me to tell ten truths. Who would want to know anyway.
Here goes ( hear me whine)
1. I absolutely love my grandsons. I don't think there were more beautiful, smarter more talented children born (except maybe their parents). Josh started it all with his wild pitch and football tackles. He'd throw balls fast and hard when pre-1 years old. I used to have Mark sit by me because he has faster reflexes than I do and could protect me from being nailed. Josh would act out the tackles in a football game..."and then they went like this ugh...or this aaah" as he fell. Then came along Vince. He was just content to be..but not for long soon he was following in his brother's footsteps. Running, scootering and just being a super dare devil. Josh and Vince climbed Turtle Hill last summer. Then came Alex, he could work my power chair after about 10 seconds of sitting on my lap. He is a lot like his Dad; he can reach about anything if he wants to. A super hero "EXTENDOR ARMS" He will be about the right age for a Turtle Hill adventure this summer. Now I have Marcus. Right now he is perfectly sweet and beautiful. I am excited to see what adventures he'll have.
2. Truth two: I love Olympics. I am a total junkie. I even love to watch curling. That shows how sick I am. I love all the really dangerous sports, half pipe, arial ski flying or whatever it is called, moguls, down hill racing. I used to love slolom racing but don't have enough time or DVR space to watch them all. Summer Olympics I love to watch the marathon, like watching every footstep from start to finish. It all started with the summer of 1976 I was pitting cherries to bottle and watched the summer Olympics. Hooked.
3. Like my daughter Lis I love Safari. I love to go out and explore dirt roads and anything else I can find. When I was a walking person I used to get fed up and want to get out of the Blazer and climb and check out hills and groves of trees that were sitting all alone by their ownselves.
4. I love to climb trees. Just because I can't do it anymore doesn't mean I don't love it. I love to climb trees and shinny up poles.
5. Now things I dislike. I dislike paying bills. It is nice to have them payed but I hate seeing all the money disappear like sand in the wind. I get all grouchy when I do it and it lasts at least 6 hours after.
6. I am a compulsive collector like my Grandpa Pete. Grandma always called him a "Junk Mon" I swear I can't throw anything away either and I loved his junk. My computer room is full of STUFF. That is only one spot. The basement is full and it overflows to upstairs.
7. This is no surprise to my family. I love genealogy. I love the history. I love hearing the stories of my family and every one elses. I just can't bear to think of ancestors stuck in the Spirit World and not being able to advance. It breaks my heart.
8. My best friend and lover is Mark. From the moment I saw him he looked so familiar. He looked like someone I loved. I remember telling myself Heather you're so weird. I saw him playing basketball (of course) in a Gym with 4 games going on at once. He was in an opposite court. This was back when I was in 10th grade. I met him probably a year and a half later. He used to call me all the time and TALK! We became great friends to then fall in love. Although I swear I always loved him from the pre existance and the crush I had was love even then.
9. I hate going to any doctor appointment. Since 1995 I have spent too much time in doctors offices having all kinds of horors done to me like chemotherapy. I am sick of needs being threaded into my resisting veins. The nurses say, I felt a good vein but it flipped. Yeah, of course, who wants a needle threaded into you. I feel like a pin cushion.
10. I really would love to see all my children and grandchildren continue to grow up but sometimes I don't know how much more I can take. I do the best I can but sitting in a wheel chair and stuck at home sometimes drives me NUTS. I feel like I am trapped in a Cage. The cage is my unresponding body. I dream sometimes that I am flying. The Bird goes free.
Now it is someone elses turn to tell ten Honest Things. I hope it is not just for girls
I nominate.

-Your grandsons ARE amazing and talented. I'm not impartial or anything!
-Amen to the Olympics - love watching.
-I guess I can contribute my junk collecting genes to Gpa Pete!
-Dad used to TALK on the phone? That's what you call love!
-Mom, you gotta hold out for a couple grand daughters at least. I'm sorry - life isn't fair. It will all be made right one day and if there's one thing I know for sure, our Savior understands every tiny and every HUGE struggle we face each day.
You did great at ten truths. I know you don't talk about your challenges often, but you can.
I forgot to say I LOVE YOU! You're the best mom eva. Thank you for raising us to be real and not 'beige' people. There's too many of those.
